Horrigan’s Irish Red Ale

Horrigan’s Irish Red Ale is named eponymously for a grand old family right here in beautiful Gardner, MA. So, it’s not just any old Irish name that looked good on the can. Horrigan’s recently celebrated 100 years in business and inspired Moon Hill Brewing Co. to make a prohibition era beer to celebrate the anniversary. We decided upon a red ale, by virtue of the family name. The family graciously (and not without a little vanity) allowed us to continue its production with the Horrigan name on the label under the Moon Hill branding. Double win for Gardner, the city of opportunity and neighborliness. We will brew this beer annually around St. Patrick’s Day. A fine Irish red ale it is.
