From The Beginning

There are several origin stories for the Ale House and Moon Hill Brewing Co. and herein is contained one of the best. I named this post “From The Beginning” because I hope it attracts your attention to a very important interaction at the very beginning of our journey to Gardner and it is the name of one of my favorite songs ever, written by Greg Lake and performed by Emerson, Lake and Palmer.

Anyway, very early on, around summer 2005, I read a Gardner News article written by Mike Richard containing a wish list of things downtown Gardner needed to begin a sort of renaissance. A downtown brewery was among the items and I quickly sat down to write Mike to let him know of my designs and how encouraged I was by his writing.
