Our greatly anticipated release of Perley Girl, “in the can”, just happened yesterday. Greatly anticipated for many reasons, not the least of which is that since can sales are so important to you and to us as we weather unusual times, we want more than ever to get our best summer beers into the cooler. We now have five: Perley Girl, Bouctouche Blonde, Pufnstuf American IPA, Blood Orange Wit and Summer’s End Kölsch. These are all decidedly appropriate beers for summer. Perley was also greatly anticipated because the label design was no small matter. We had a color scheme, botanicals and a female image all vying for label space. We had one version that was only hops, but it lacked a bit of life. You might notice something about the label that reminds you of a beer you used to know and love! Maybe you see an borrowed color scheme? I can’t give away the secret, but a serious German beer drinker should get this one and be able to guess the Jeopardy question to the answer: This well-known German Pilsner is only available as an export.
We love the colors and think the rendering is gorgeous. We found our botanical/person compromise in this final version and are really happy to see this label and face beaming out to us from the GAH cooler of blessed liquid summer treats.
