All Summer Long
Did you know that meteorologists consider the beginning of summer to be June 1? I just read that online somewhere, so it must be true. At least I’m considering it to be true because it matches my experience – exactly. This year, June 1st was a Saturday. It was beautiful and summer was in the air. I was with the best people and was feeling a weight lifted. My summer had begun. Maybe I should have been a meteorologist. I was ready to play a bit more and work a bit less.
Considering that summer is well along now (whether you consider it to be June 20 or June 1, the temperature says summer is all over the place), and since we can’t spend all summer on vacation, we can at least break it up a bit and do something during the week. Maybe once or twice a week? Maybe a Wednesday? Don’t you think? And wouldn’t it be nice if you could treat yourself to something special without hitting your pocket too hard?
People in our industry understand this really well. The weekends are spent hustling and more. Going out during the week is a thing, on a night off. Usually someplace with AC or a patio if it’s not too hot. We have AC and a patio here and we want you to stop by and rub shoulders. And we’ll make it easy.
If you are ‘in the industry’ then we will offer you 50% off any one item on our menu, including some pretty fancy dinner entrées. Our most expensive entrée is a 14oz Grilled Barbecue Ribeye steak for $32. You do the math. And it gets better from there. Steak tips, Fish ‘n’ Chips, Loaded Nachos. Half off!
And we are seeking out music for this gig. And it would be really cool to have some unplugged industry musicians. We’ll see. You will see. Because you will be here!
Every Wednesday, 6pm till close. Close is negotiable! All summer
This Wednesday, June 26, Industry Night will be hosting Matt Black, 6:30pm till 8:30pm.
Matt is the famous, renowned, well-known and reputable business man, Matt Piaseczny, owner, proprietor and friendly host of the newly formed and rebuilt (quite nicely) Otter River Pub aka The Onion previously The Red Onion aka The Otter River Hotel. You can’t get away from your past and Matt isn’t trying! And he’s coming here!
Sincerely,
